Remember this? First the Pinto, then the Toyota. What's Next, Self-Driving Vehicles Crashes? (We Hope Not)!

Posted on Nov 07, 2019

Originally, 57 deaths were attributed to crashes involving sudden acceleration of Toyota vehicles, but now the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports sudden acceleration involving crashes may bring the death toll to 89.  Since 2000, there have been 6,200 complaints involving sudden acceleration of Toyotas, and the company has recalled nearly 8 million vehicles.

We are now looking at something that seems even scarier. Not only do we have to worry about manufacturers making mistakes on the assembly line, we are dealing with the very real possibility of self-driving vehicles making a splash onto the market. And who knows what that will look like for us?

Have you been in a serious auto accident due to the negligence of someone else, or a manufacturer's recall?  Give us a call today at 202-393-3320 to discuss the options that might be available to you!
