Russ Glickman is the founder and owner of Glickman Design Build, a home remodeling company that has been designing, remodeling and building homes in the DC area for over 30 years. As a father of a child with Cerebral Palsy, he knows and understands first-hand the unique needs of families where physical disability is part of their day to day life. To Mr. Glickman, it’s not just business---“it’s personal”.

Russ uses the experiences he has faced with his son, as well as his professional experience to help others remain in their homes for life, regardless of their circumstances or specific needs. Russ has a passion for building to create innovative living spaces that improve the quality of life for all his clients.

Mr. Glickman also served as one of the board members of the Lollipop Kids Foundation, helping out with their mission: to combat social stigmas, ease financial burden placed on families, offer emotional support and provide brief respite. Russ is also a supporter of Captial Chapter of Canine Companions for Independence, Rebuilding Together, United Way, and Habitat for Humanity and many other organizations.

Russ is known for outstanding design work as well as his business acumen. He was named one of the Top 50 Remodelers in the nation by Remodeling Magazine, he was named ‘National Remodeler of the Year’ by the National Remodeler, and most recently he received a ‘2014 best of Houzz Award’ for Remodeling and Home Design. In total Russ has earned 40 national and local awards.

Some contractors don’t listen, don’t understand your needs (and don’t seem to care). Russ Glickman and his firm “get it” – how many other contractors live in a home that has been modified to accommodate a disabled young person?  We feel strongly about recommending our clients to him when they need the services he provides.
