Infant Deaths lead to Child Safety Recall

Posted on Aug 29, 2008

After a 4 month old and 5 month old became trapped in their bassinetts' metal bars and died, the Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled the models.  Simplicity, Inc. manufactures the bassinetts, known as 3 in 1 and 4 in 1 convertibles or "close sleeper/bedside sleeper."

Newsday reports the parent company is not cooperating with the government's recall.  Nearly 90,000 bassinetts are affected and they are sold at many retailers nationwide.
