D.C. Workers Compensation hearings now held at new location
Posted on Apr 25, 2012A D. C. workers compensation hearing is like a trial, with opening statements, cross examination of witnesses and closing arguments. The issues range from medical treatment, payment of benefits for time out of work, whether the injury happened at work, compensation for permanent injuries, and anything else affecting an injured workers right to workers compensation benefit.
The new building where workers compensation hearings are held, appeals are decided and settlement of workers compensation cases are approved is located at 4058 Minnesota Avenue, N.E., Washington, D.C.
It is next to the Minnesota Avenue metro stop and there is parking in the metro garage behind the building, but you need a Smart card to park there.
Security is much tighter so plan on an extra 10 or 15 minutes to get through security.
Give yourself plenty of time, you don't want to be rushed or late for your D.C. workers compensation hearing and the judge deciding your case doesn't want that either!
