89 deaths due to crashes involving sudden acceleration in Toyotas

Originally, 57 deaths were attributed to crashes involving sudden acceleration of Toyota vehicles, but now the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports sudden acceleration involving crashes may bring the death toll to 89. Since 2000, there have been 6,200 complaints involving sudden acceleration of Toyotas, and the company has recalled nearly 8 million vehicles.
